While we get our ducks in a row ShinyShiny has published their review of the HTC HD2. While the raise some niggles, the overwhelmingly large screen seems to have won them over in the end.

I think his issue with the links is that you need to be zoomed in to click them in opera. probably because other devices have smaller screens and no multi-touch. would be good if opera had an option to let you chose the zoom level required.

Well, according to Mobiletechworld.com, an italian site has tested the final software, and they say that the final ROM is significantly slower than the test versions. There are delays here and there when you move around the phone. They say it might be because in the test version of the phone, only a part of the 512 mb ram was enabled. Now, when the whole RAM is enabled, multitasking is better but speed is slower (because of how Windows Mobile handles memory)… So, it looks like HD2 will be no Iphone killer after all.

The HD2 is already an iphone killer. HTC had touch screens long before iphone. Any iphone that i have been able to play with has lag. Never seen one work flawlessly. The only ones that will not think that the HD2 is not an iphone killer are the ihacks that fell for all hype and wasted their money. Sure you got 75,000 + apps but only few are really useful. The rest are crap. I will not buy a phone without WinMo. It after all is a true OS on a phone. All iphone is is an apps launcher. Would u rather have an apps launcher or a pocket computer? I know my answer.

Screw y'all. My first WinMo phone had a very nice sized screem over 3", but then all you guys started clamoring for smaller phones. That's how we got the Kaiser, Tilt, and Touch with their tiny little 2.8 inch screens. Who really wanted these? This is how WinMo started to get a bad rep for "needing a stylus" which it never did before. This is why HTC had to start making a finger-friendlier interface.. tiny little screens.

Now Apple puts out a phone and everyone rushes to make bigger screens again until it culminates in the beast that is HD2. Why didn't we have this all along? I'll have to settle with my 2.8" Fuze. Screw y'all

Sorry Craig, but nobody forced you to get the Fuze. You could have voted for bigger screens with your wallet if that's what you really wanted. The Omnia and X1 were both out at the same time as the Fuze and had bigger screens. I think the LG Incite also sported a bigger screen, but I don't remember.

This is probably the worst review I’ve seen so far. Misleading facts … rambling …
… then moan about battery life near the end. My iPhone battery life doesn’t last over a day you know.

It's from ShinyShiny… you shouldn't expect much more.

The only reason to watch their videos was that they had cute girls doing some of them, but they all quit and ShinyShiny went down the crapper (even more than before).
