HTC Touch Pro 2 vs Motorola Droid – a user review
I today stumbled across this video of a user review of the HTC Touch Pro 2 vs the Android powered Motorola Droid.
Its nice to see one of the most loved Windows Mobile handsets hold up pretty well against the most highest profile Android handset available at present. I must say however that search feature is pretty cool, but on the other hand it seems to be a slicker version of Microsoft’s Tellme service, so it may not be that enviable after all.
On a related note, a more expert opinion comes from JKontherun, who compared Windows Mobile against Android, and found the OS again holds up pretty well, winning on 3:0 on multi-tasking, user interface and desktop integration, with a tie on Outlook vs Gmail integration.
Read that comparison here.

the droid does have alot up on the TP2.
number one being apps and number 2 being capacitive display.
i do see the difference now with resistive vs capacitive…
and if i had my way it would be capacitive all day!
one thing winmo has over droid…market share.
but unless winmo 7 comes out screaming and gets a good promo behind it and about 15k new and solid apps…
im still open for winmo 7 though

I really hope it comes to WM soon. I'm worried that google will use it to push android though.

I much prefer a gps application that has local installed maps, with a program that relies on a data connection there is always the risk you will be without navigation when you need it most if you go out of wireless coverage. Plus this is yet another google service that will undoubtedly require you to agree to them tracking your every move so definitely not something I would ever use.

LOL I laugh at Droid Google GPS it totally boring and dont even look real time. My HTC Touch Pro2 GPS tops that Droid GPS anytime. My GPS looks more realtime. Check it out.

Sprint's built in GPS for the TP2 is probably the best on the market! as far as the apps, there are numerous available as long as you are willing to look. Hands down, a customized TP2 beats everything on the market…until the HTC Touch HD2 gets here.

Try the free Navigation program by Microsoft on Windows Mobile called Bing. I like it better than Google and have been using it since my 6800 by HTC came out a long time ago.
