Capacitive stylus head to head of the HTC HD2
Not everyone is happy to wave styli a fond farewell, and I certainly do not look forward to the placing the first finger marks on my HTC HD2 after have just wiped if for the nth time today.
There is currently two capacitive styli – Teno Pogo Sketch and Dagi Transparent stylus. The above video pits them head to head against each other on a HTC HD2.
The video crowns the Dagi Transparent Stylus the winner, for its more precise stylus-like control, vs the more finger-like use of the Teno Pogo.
Do any of our readers intend using a stylus on their HD2? Let us know in the comments.

I've owned a Diamond for over a year now & i only use the stylus to align my screen after flashing a ROM, can't see the need when there's an even BIGGER screen.

I want one for older apps and more complex ones such as remote desktop control. also drawing and handwriting. i think it would be very useful for browsing the internet too.

True, but your Diamond has a resistive screen and lower resolution. As you can see from PocketNow's videos the HD2 needs to be zoomed in sometimes when you're dealing with small checkboxes and stuff like that.

I don't think carrying around the P1 (12cm, 6mm) would be easy and I'd probably lose it however a pen sized stylus could be useful for notes. i think what I'll do is buy the P3 or W1 and keep it in my wallet. if i find that i need something more then I'll get a P1.

Both look pretty precise — more precise than I was expecting for capacitive. However, this is clearly an area where resistive screens have an advantage over capacitive. So what do you do with the stylus when you are not using it? It's another thing you have to lug around. There needs to be a capacitive stylus that can be stowed away inside the device. All that would have to be done is replace the battery cover with a custom one that has a place to stick the stylus. Here's an idea for accessory manufacturers.
Meanwhile, I like being able to use my finger nail, damnit!

Dagi have several other designs which are much smaller. If the HD2 had one of those loop holes then attaching one would be easy. real shame that it doesn't.

You want to have a stylus attached to your phone, just dangling? In your pocket? When you answer a call? I don't see how that makes carrying a stylus easy.

I'm not saying it's perfect but i'd prefer it to having one loose.

A plea to the posters of these video clips…
PLEASE film the damn thing upright! I get a real crick in my neck leaning over to try and work out what you are doing.
A comment on this specific review. What was the point of drawing a random fast line in a test of the usability of a stylus? Why on earth didn't you draw a circle or a square, or even something more complex. That would have actually given us something useful to compare. We could see if they were round and square on screen.

Thanks a lot for this test. I will buy a Dagi stylus because sometimes, my finger is too big for the Windows menus.
I would also be happy to be able to use the "graffiti" (in Palm language = recognition of blocks in Windows language I think) instead of the keyboard when I need to write a lot in my HD2. But it doesn't seem to exist. Do you know if it is possible ?
