Capacitive screen jitter on the HTC HD2
Capacitive screens are not very precise, and if your software is not designed to take this into account you can get pretty funny results.
This video by YouHTC.ru shows the effect on the TouchFlo3D tabs on the HTC HD2, where the device does not quite know which tab it should come to rest on, despite the finger being still .
According to YouHTC HTC intends to modify their software to fix this issue, hopefully not with the result of making the interface less responsive.

Try as i might i cant replicate that. My HD2 does sometimes ignore screen presses though, much like the early HD software did. Im finding the HD2 full of little bugs, but im willing to wait for fixes.

It looks like he has a second finger on the screener higher up…it may be the multitouch kicking in cause the tabs that display are sometimes a few tabs away…I think that’s the reason. If he wants to change tabs he should touch the tabs only…
@Chris- try to position a second finger on the screen like in the video and see if that results in the flickering.

I had an even weirder problem with mine last night. The phone was lying flat on the palm of my hand without any fingers on the screen and it was going crazy. Irritatingly, it navigated to the settings menu, selected Wireless controls, and then went into the Data connection settings all by itself. Eventually I tried to stop it and had to shut it down. I have no idea why it was doing this but it had nothing to do with anything that I was doing.

There are people on XDA having this issue. there's a fix which reduces the sensitivity slightly i think which isn't ideal but i hear that it helps. i think they said it was caused by background magnetism or something else affecting the screen and not the screen itself being crazy.

finally this issue got mass attention !
I raised the same question some time ago on xda !! The touch screen like this is really annoying and that makes me sad..
The cab does help a little but it is not a solution. I wished i never had to "create" that cab..
I already have about 1400 downloads for the tweak vs 600 for the original values. That means more than 50% have the same problem/noticed touchscreen not working 100%..
