Not all accelerometers are created perfect, and for these the HTC Touch Pro has a calibration utility built-in to correct any issues that may have arisen post shipping. The HTC Touch Diamond however lacked this important software, leaving many users with a poor screen rotation experience and with a Teeter ball constantly rolling to the side.

HTC has now release a hotfix which brings the Touch Pro calibration utility to the HTC Touch Diamond.

Hot Fix for G-Sensor Calibration in HTC Touch Diamond
If you encounter a G-Sensor malfunction, for example when playing the “Teeter” game or changing your web browser orientation, please install this hot fix so that you can perform the calibration by yourself. Note: This hot fix can only be installed on devices with ROM version 1.93.XXX.X or above. To check your ROM version tap Start > Settings > System tab > Device Information to confirm the ROM version.
