Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM for Blue Angel (O2 XDA IIs, Qtek 9090, T-Mobile MDA III etc)
The first ROM with Windows Mobile 6.5 modules is here. Posted by sun_dream at xda-developers is suitable for HTC’s Blue Angel, or as it is mostly known, O2 XDA IIs, Qtek 9090, T-Mobile MDA III.
sun_dream also posted the following video, that shows a new panel screen, resembling one of the screen-shots we have seen earlier.
The ROM, is a Beta and doesn’t carry the whole OS, so expect the final product to be a lot different.
This is the Windows Mobile 6.5 features, that the ROM has:
MSTOUCH(UPDATE)
TouchRecognizer
Touch LockScreen
IE6[IE Mobile8.12Pro]2009 Only for 6.5
CMHome For WM6.5PRO
Live For WM6.5
Information and download links for Blue Angel users can be found here.

All I see is better scrolling and a WM6.1 Standard home screen. Ho hum… Give use a better UI please

What a disappointment. I hope this isn’t it. It is just a new home screen and kinetic scrolling. Does Microsoft really not get it?

I share the disappointment of many here, but can only hope the leaked ROM’s are from early development, and that the final product in 3-6 months time will go a bit deeper than the superficial layer that is already present due to e.g. HTC’s TouchFlo3D or Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

Heh. Looks like Microsoft has sprung into action and get the video removed. Oh and admin, Touchwiz is terrible. It’s more like Windows Sidebar.
