i-Mates Warrior and Legionnaire: The Best Netbook-Phone (?)
Apparently i-Mate few more aces up their sleeves at Mobile World Congress. The company revealed , in addition to that credit-card sized qwerty device -now named Centurion, two more devices.
The first one, the Warrior is actually a very innovative device, as is it is basically a dock with a 10-inch XVGA screen, a dedicated battery, SD Card reader instead of a Hard Disk and an array of several ports, including HDMI. As for the for the task of providind processing power, this is up to second device that i-Mate revealed, the Legionnaire.
The latter is a Windows Mobile 6.5 handset with modern specifications like, WVGA screen, HSDPA, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, microSDHC slot etc and it is supposed to act also as a touchpad when you slide it in the Warrior. Expect it during the third quarter of this year, priced approximately at $500.
While we haven’t seen the Warrior in person yet, we do know that it will also be unveiled simultaneously with the Legionnaire, for the affordable $199.
