HTC Touch Pro 2 calculator cab now available for download
A bit like vultures tearing a carcass apart, ROM cookers have descended on the HTC Touch Pro 2 ROM and have released some of HTC’s latest enhancements to TouchFlo3D.
One of the simpler ones is HTC’s new calculator, which finally looks consistent with the rest of the interface, and features a more fuller version when turned into landscape mode.
The cab can be downloaded from MyLostBlog here.
Thanks Paul for the tip.

Works on the HTC Touch HD, except if you’re using a swedish version of the OS, then you won’t see any text on the soft buttons. Still workable though.

Works fine on the HD.
But why the application takes so much space/memory??
It is just a calculator, isn’t it?

Yes, comment from John Ericson above is true.
With the French version you will not be able to see the soft buttons on the bottom : Copy and About.

it might be helpful to note this will only work properly on a device with a WVGA screen.

I installed it. It is good. But it takes almost 3 Mo of my memory space.

Looking at the .cab, it appears it is so big because it contans every button as a .bmp. Then there is an .xml file which lays it all out. I’m sure it wouldn’t take much to change all that layout code to make it fit onto a VGA or QVGA screen. I’d watch xda-developers in the next few days and see who does it first.

The cab is for WWE ROM.
After installation you can find in \windows the file htcCalculator.exe.0409.mui
Just rename 0409 to 04XX (where XX is you localisation; i.e. 040C for french localisation), soft reset, and you will see the button.

It works for me! I use Gyrator2 for rotating all my programs on the Touch HD.

You must rotate the screen using Girator or similar.

If you google on xda-developers there is a modified cab which is much smaller, and which works on VGA devices too.

I have this version of the HTC Calculator in my cooked Windows Mobile 6.5 on my HTC Kaiser 8925. ONE MAJOR PROBLEM: It does not display the decimal point on the screen at all (portrait or landscape mode), so I might be giving the waitress some 6-digit tips, hah!
