New ZuneHD pictures, details
Some more ZuneHD information has trickled into our inbox, and while we do not, in general, cover PMP’s, Zune seems inextricably linked with the future of Windows Mobile, so its probably a valid topic of conversation here.
From our limited information, it seems the ZuneHD will feature a lot of what Windows Mobile owners have long been waiting for.
The ZuneHD will have a capacitive, multi-touch OLED screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio and TV out, from what looks to be a HDMI port on the side. The radio will now be HD and the device will support HD media playback, which will be available from the updated Zune Marketplace.
The ZuneHD will also support 3D Xbox games, but it is unclear what form this will take.
The device will come in 16 and 32 GB versions, and will support wireless sync. It will also finally come with a browser that supports multi-touch.
The device is set to launch in Fall, around September, and will also finally be available outside US, in Canada, UK and France, and possibly other European countries.
It remains likely this device will serve as a showcase for Windows Mobile 7 when it is released, and Microsoft is expected to spend a considerable amount marketing the device and service.
Edit: Something more for our readers to chew on. While we do not have confirmation of this, many bloggers are claiming the device will be nVidia Tegra powered.
Edit2: LiveSide and Neowin has confirmed with their own sources most of the details here, including that the screen is indeed OLED, at around 3.6 inches, and that besides the 16 and 32 GB sizes, added there will also be a massive 120 GB version.

it almost looks like you can slide out the screen, the two buttons, one on front, and one on back, would make it easy to slide out and have some awesome new feature

Actually, to all the Zune haterz, The New Zune HD WILL be way bettr than iPod Touch in so many ways, and it WILL feature a 16:9 OLED Multi-Touch Screen, with an Accelerometer and a Tegra Chip, also with HD video and Internet Explorer, and Unlike iPod Touch, when you look for a song in your library, and you want to find information about the artist, etc. you dont have to go look for it on iTunes or the internet, it will be already there for you. Take that, Apple! I'm a Microsoft Fanboy and that's how it's gonna stay because Apple can't compete!!!!!

by the way, this pic IS fake, one because the words on the menus are lowercase on the real thing, two because the Zune logo on the back of the REAL thing is not that big, and the REAL thing would have the 16gb or 32gb words on the back Trust me, I know a lot about Zune. Plus, anybody who has never seen a Zune in their lifetime can tell it's fake because the "reflection" on the front screen of the Zune is SO fake.
