Exchange 2010 will feature WM 6.5 SMS integration
Tying the Exchange and Windows Mobile 6.5 even closer together, the two new versions of the software will feature SMS integration, meaning SMS messages will be automatically synchronized back to your Exchange server, where they can be easily searched and archived.
Further features will be the ability to send SMS messages directly from Outlook.

That’s fantastic! Now if only they would add the ability to sync my notes back to big outlook over the air. It’s so annoying to have to plug-in to do that. Or, even more killer, the ability to sync OneNote over the air!
Or, the most killer of all, if they added a plug-in API so that third parties could sync their data over the air with Exchange. That would be the ultimate!

I have to agree with Parrot…not having the native ability to synch Notes is really not having the native ability to synch all of Outlook. To me…Calendar, Contacts, Email, Tasks and Notes are all integral pieces of Outlook. So 4 out of 5 is nice, but not as nice as 5 out of 5.

As long as it’s an optional item that can be sync’d I don’t have a problem. I wouldn’t sync my SMS messages with my corporate exchange server, but would definitely do so with my hosted exchange account.
