Windows Mobile based Xperia X2 casually mentioned by Skyhook
Sometimes executives forget all the NDA’s they have signed and let slip some interesting information. In a Giga-om interview with Ted Morgan, Skyhook founder and CEO, Mr Morgan let slip that they had been been trying to get Sony Ericsson’s business for location-based services on “the X2 edition of Sony Xperia phone (Windows Mobile-based)” but that they lost out to Google’s free service of the same type.
As far as I know this is the first credible mention we have had of a Windows Mobile powered Xperia follow-up, a device many have speculated may never materialize.
Here’s looking forward to more loose lips in the near future.
