First Verizon Samsung Omnia ROM cooked
Wozzer999 on Modaco, the hotbed of Samsung Omnia development, has cooked the first Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM for the Verizon CDMA Samsung Omnia. Windows Mobile ROM’s for the Samsung Omnia GSM version have been around for a while, but so far its CDMA cousins seem to have been left out.
How to flash:
Run UDML_Omnia
Click PDA
Fin d the extracted file from the rar you downloaded
Hit Detect
Restart Phone
Once the phone has completely booted, wait a minute and give it another soft-reset
Here are the links to the files:
There will be 3 ROMS in this release. A Lite, which is basically a core wm6.5, M2D has… you guess it, M2D. And a new ’stock’ with almost nothing removed (some customer.csc issues still present).
To get M2D working, you must disable "windows default" and enable "TouchFLO".
Stock: Here
M2D: Here
Lite: Here

Thanks Josh for the tip.

Why does it even matter?

Not a photoshop. I flashed wozzer’s ROM today on my Omnia. I don’t like 6.5 much. Switched back to 6.1 with all my customizations

Hey, don’t know where that picture came from, but WM6.5 is working. I have some screenshots in the thread. Also, who ever used that picture, that’s an i900, not an i910, and that charging thing is weird. WM6.5 is interesting, but not for everyday use if you depend on your phone. It’s just a nice toy to have.

Real screenshot, fake phone, just for illustration of course. It makes for a nicer picture than just another generic WM 6.5 screenshot.

Can we get a rom with 6.5 working on a samsung saga

All – I have been flashing WoZZer’s ROMs for a while and want to let y’all know they are great! Definitely worth checking out, and while 6.5 isn’t earth-shattering in terms of updates, there are some very worthwhile changes. Also, I am getting much faster response and better battery life. If you are brave, this one is worth the effort.

Is there a 6.5 ROM available for the Samsung i760?
Can’t seem to find one anywhere.
Thanks
