Another Samsung Omnia Pro video

This video shot by TGSpot Israel shots the Samsung Omnia Pro in action, and again its sluggish performance is pretty evident, but hopefully this will be fixed before release.

Also apparent however is the good looking and relatively smooth interface, which, if fully implemented, would mean a rather non-Windows Mobile experience.

Thanks Patrick for the tip.

no current processor can make WiMo 6.1 snappy.. XDA-dev’s had a lot of work on HTC ROM’s and still the performance is not superb. What makes me curious is why is Marvell’s XScale processor mentioned for ticking as it’s core?

Because that is the chip in the T*Omnia which runs at 806 Mhz

Well, it’s CLEARLY slower than TP2 with TF3D. That’s for sure.

Maybe the device is RAM starved. That’s a common reason for sluggish UI response in WM 6.x devices. Too little caching => bad response times.

Again, anybody know how much RAM Omnia Pro has?

That is a *VERY* important part of the specs for business phone.

It could have a gazillion megapixels and 7 row keyboard, but if it doesn’t have enough RAM, it’s useless.

    Inquiring minds want to know.
