HTC Whitestone hits Bluetooth certification

HTC’s Q1 and Q2 devices have now all basically hit the market, but in the smartphone business it never stops, and HTC is already preparing its next generation of devices.

Up next is the HTC Whitestone, which has just shown up on the Bluetooth Certification site under the code name WHIT10000.  The device is rumoured to feature a 3.6 inch WVGA screen, 5 megapixel camera, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM, and have a Qualcomm 7600 processor running at 528 Mhz.  Despite apparently set to launch in September the device is thought to be launching with Windows Mobile 6.1, but I am sure a 6.5 upgrade will not be far behind.

The clearly media-centric device (with a kick stand and 3.5mm headphone jack) device will have both GSM and EVDO and debut on the Verizon network.

    Qualcomm MSM?

    Lol.

This is not media-centric, so much as it is hairpull-centric.

WTF is wrong with HTC? Really I can’t believe they are ploughing on regardless of so many disappointed customers.

  • I’d rather buy an HTC Touch HD than Whitestone.

HD has a bigger screen, same camera, same RAM, same ROM… what else? Oh yeah, it will be cheaper by September 2009.

    I can’t believe this.
