Samsung Omnia Pro video review
The HDBlog has published this follow-up video review of the Samsung Omnia Pro, this time a bit more informative than their last, which mostly consisted of glamour shots.
Having seen the device in question, I am sure many of the readers face the same dilemma as I do – which one to buy? The Samsung Omnia Pro has great hardware and a great software package, while the HTC Touch Pro 2 is a sophisticated device with great (unofficial) software support.
Vote below to help us decide.
The Fuze I use now might be my last HTC device ever!
I think after using a device like the Omnia Pro for a while, you will realize so many little things that make using it easier and quicker. Like the compose feature shown in this video… so simple, but how many taps on an HTC device does it take to get to where you are actually typing a note?
And a 3.5mm audio jack? Say no more!

This is definitly the new Windows Mobile King beside i8000 Omnia II
HTC Touch Pro2 is good, but it comes with no real evoltion. Even it uses the same 72XX 524Mhz Chipset, faster CPU and AMOLED Display are the Killerspecs of the Omnia Pro.

Omnia Pro is infinitely better for investing money into newer products.
Then again, HTC isn’t as big, but it’s obvious the same decripit, retarded hardware should not have been used under any circumstances.
I like Sammy’s UI better as well. They’re really innovating.
Most WVGA stuff on HTC’s phones should work on the Sammy as well.
Must say the Sense UI is my fave so far, and it makes ’sense’ above all. Very intuitive. And that’s the first time I’m using that word.

Really amazing device!
This is good for the device market, because HTC will need to bring something even better than the TP2’s software. They will need to make better touchflo, deeper set in the system, so consumers can finally have a fun with the device without having a need to put out the stylus. And they don’t have much time, because if they don’t bring the new software until the new year, the Samsung Omnia Pro will probably destroy them.

Touch Pro 2 only because AT&T will be carrying and subsidizing it.

Omnia Pro just because i want to see some competition on market, HTC is cutting corners on hardware aspects – like for instance simple LED flash.. i mean WTF.. like the life is lived in daylight and you must have besides your multipractic phone have also a spare photo camera with a propper flash

I LOVE those two arrows that are used for zooming in and out of the picture!:)
It’s brilliant example of good UI controls – go all the way up or down and you know you’ve hit the extremes. And when you meake the arrows meet at the center line that’s nominal zoom. Great!:) Glad to see Samsung really tries to make some innovation in their UI. I only don’t like how colorful the icons are. It lacks elegance HTC’s Touch Flo has. Original Omnia’s brown-and-blue theme seemed more classy. Oh yeah and i also don’t like that third party apps won’t fit the scheme at all:( But that’s general problem with WM unfortunately:/ Developers have too much freedom;P

i gotta watch another review…the combination between bad audio/a steven hawkings tone/the womans accent make this video unbearable for me.

For Business, I will choice HTC Touch Pro2 for sure!!
But I will choice Samsung Omnia II(I8000) more than HTC Touch Diamond 2 for fun! ^_^
Out of Topic:
Here I use SmartPhone is just for fun only, so I will choice Samsung Omnia II(I8000)! Sorry, HTC…

Does anyone know if AT&T will carry the Omnia Pro or if GSM version will be available anywhere in US?

i would not buy a smartphone without a headphone jack – especially if it costs 600+ dollars.
HTC FUZE – is a joke for a phone. I now use the xperia x1 and i cant even compare the two. I am very happy with what xperia has to offer, and if they can
1 – make the front buttons a littttle better
2 – add an accelorometer + electronic compas
wed be golden.

There is no comparision here. Omnia Pro is much better with a faster cpu, better camera(htc has no flash), even better display and perhaps cheaper than htc.
The only goo thing in the htc is its 288 mb ram.
