HTC Touch Diamond 2, Pro 2 and Snap all getting WM 6.5 update

td2 HTC has confirmed an update to Windows Mobile 6.5 for the HTC Touch Diamond 2, Touch Pro 2 and HTC Snap. The update will also bring updated versions of TouchFlo3D, bringing it closer to the HTC Sense user interface, said Lars Christian Weisswange, Regional Director of HTC for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), in an interview with AreaMobile. de.

The update will be provided as a free download from HTC’s website.  Whether the software update will be released on October 6th or later is not known yet however, but should not be long after.

  • Who?:

I am so waiting to buy a TP2 until 6.5 hits. If I can handle my Tilt that long.

  • patiently waiting:

Too much coverage of TD2 and TP2. The phones have been released for 3-4months now and it's still getting coverage? When will HTC spill the beans on the LEO?!?!?

I've never seen HTC release ANY windows update in a timreframe that could be called *soon*, what I've seen from official HTC WM6 upgrades, and WM6.1 upgrades is that you can expect to wait several months after the official MS announcement of the OS before you see any action on HTC's end.

You do know that you can edit the tab graphics if you wanted to right?

I don't understand how you would deactivate TF3D and risk losing some important features that can be accessed straight away… just edit the graphics and you would still have TF3D.
