Official Xperia X1 Windows Mobile 6.5 update coming
itje, well known XDA-Developer moderator and ROM cook has somewhat put his reputation on the line by claiming he has laid his hands on an official Xperia X1 Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM. He claims this is clearly a precursor to a general Windows Mobile 6.5 release for the now aging handset.
Nice little treat for you guys.
I GOT A REAL OFFICIAL 6.5 XPERIA ROM, YES, YOU READ CORRECT…OFFICIAL
The Build in the rom is a older 6.5..but what is important is:
-New XIP (real x1 nk)
-New OEM DRIVERS etc
-Some drivers from x2
-New netcf 3.7 (final)
What do you think? Is a official Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM coming, and with all the cooked ROM’s out there, do we even need it? Let us know in the comments.

if its up to me, i will put itje as number one cook cause of the RAW roms that he releases with always new stuff that we didnt dream on in our SEX1.

Of course it matters, it means better hardware support through drivers created specifically for both the X1 and 6.5. Anyone who has ever played around with ROMS knows that you lose stability as you move from original driver and WM version set. This means that the X1 will have a stable set of files for 6.5 keeping it in leage with the TP2.
AND more importantly, it sets the stage for better continued hardware support from the OEMS.

Not really satisfied with the WinMo 6.1, upgrading to 6.5 will be a relief at least some usability issue.

It can’t solve all the chore faults wit teh WinMobile OS. NO winder thye will not develope it longer than 7.0. Crappist mobil OS evar.

Go to xda-developers.com and you will find there all your answears. Developers from that site made a good job so far… and i'm sure that they will do the same good job in future.

Hay Its Easy Just Download A File Called X1_HardSPL_v1 (Flash) Run This Programe With Your X1 Connected To Your PC Or Laptop (Make Sure U Have Your X1 On Activesync) Otherwise It Wont Work.
Download The 6.5 Rom Then Open Up The File And Click On ROMUpdateUtility And Follow It Through
