HTC Leo coming to Telstra Australia

htcleotelstra

With revelation of the Pictures of the HTC Leo I decided to do some digging on my Mobile Carrier’s website. I went to their MMS settings page and was delighted to discover that they have the HTC Leo listed, albeit with an older rendering of the device we know as the HTC Firestone.

This proves that the Firestone and the Leo are one and the same. View the screen shot attached.

So when should we see the HTC Leo. I am guessing that it will be announced on October 6th with the launch of Windows Mobile 6.5.

Don't think that this proves anything. Interesting that the Leo is already listed there, though.

Telstra is an Australian Carrier not a US carrier. As things have worked in the past with HTC, the US will be one of the last countries to get the device. Although HTC are trying to reverse this trend in the future.

I think the reason why this excites US users is that AT&T uses the same 850 Mhz 3G band as Telstra, meaning early adopters can import this device long before the US will actually get it on a carrier.

you're here. there point im trying to make is over……………………………………….here.

Telstra runs on a 850/1900Mhz 3G band, same band that AT&T runs here in the states. Connect the dots.

actually telstra does not use the 1900Mhz 3G Band it uses the 850 / 2100 Mhz for its devices. So thats limits the use of the phone on ATT network
