Well, you lose one ODM, you gain another.  According to Digitimes, in what is a major milestone for the company,  Inventec has managed to win some contracts in Europe for their Windows Mobile powered devices and will start shipping these in Q4 2009.

The company is also looking into producing Snapdragon-powered MIDs which may run a form of Windows.

Inventec has had previous Windows Mobile collaborations with Imate, Pharos and Velocity Mobile, and has showed of interesting smartphones at Mobile World Congress earlier this year. Pictured above is the Inventec V112 with its low power Mirasol secondary display integrated into the D-pad.
