HTC Innovation no more, now Quietly Brilliant
HTC has recently emblazoned its Innovation tag line all over its smartphones, but it seems this is set to change soon, with the company applying for a trademark on a now slogan: “HTC quietly brilliant”.
The new wording is rather understated and demure, compared to the brash claim made previously and i do wonder whether it will have the desired effect for the company.
The new slogan seems set to apply to everything, from cases to cables to smartphones, so we do not really know where it will appear first.

I wouldn't blame HTC for that since it's just the US being difficult.

It's a pretty unusual tag line. for that reason i prefer it to the old, boring and pretty cliche one.

I like it, the old one is boring. This ones clever. Basically says, we know were better, we will just sit here and be smug

"quietly" sounds too passive to me

The new one is slightly better but they both suck.
You can't expect much in terms of good marketing from HTC though… I mean just look at their name, High-Tech Computer. How clever!

By itself, HTC Quietly Brilliant doesn't stand out much, but their commercials are very uniquely witty.
"You… and you… but you… and we are HTC." Awesome!
