HTC HD2 in final packaging unboxed

Solopalmari have been lucky enough to get their hands on a HTC HD2 in its final (lime-green?) packaging, and have posted this unboxing video.

Of note is that there does not appear to be any case supplied, which makes that accessory from earlier rather essential.

I'm doubtful; the Touch HD packaging was excellent, very similar to that of the iPod Touch.

I can't see them taking such a backwards step with their new flagship product, unless Marketing decided that the packaging has no impact on sales.

Look at that start up speed! Is it that fast to get to the home screen after initial setup is done? It showed that SIM card screen super fast!

Somehow I don't believe that's the real packaging. There's no HTC branding on the outside box that I can clearly see, and inside the box there's no manual or CDs.

bingo. Either this was sent to beta testers or just a mock-up (without graphics. branding, cds, and manuals) of what the final packaging will be.

I am very disappointed about the 3.5mm headset, looks so cheap…
    I thought it will be a in-ear headset…

Thats the same style box used for the Hero and the headphones are HTC standard. The phone did say 'Test only' when it booted so it might not be final

i think thats not the final package. if i look at htcaccessorystore there is the HTC HD2 Optional Leather Pouch PO S511 and there stand "Protect your HTC HD2 with the bag, which also contained in the original package is." so where is the case in this video?

Agreed. I've also read (I think on Expansys's site) that the pouch comes with the phone.

I'm willing to bet that isn't retail packaging… It's all white for starters, and when the device is black that seems a little odd.

It also says at 16 seconds "this is not the final packaging"

I hope that this isn't the real packaging and that the real one has a box like for the kaiser. attractive and useful too.

  • Like most of you guys, I don't thing it's going to be the final packaging. Way too underwhelming. I'm glad that there's no stupid lorem ipsum text in the back though. :)

  • Apple fanboys are just way too deluded to accept the fact that this beauty is? WAY WAY better than a crappy iPhone.
