Its the start of a new day, and time for some more HTC HD2 news. Below is a collection of screenshots from Pocketpc.ch showing some things we have seen before, and some interesting new titbits.

| This shot shows multi-touch zooming in the Adobe Acrobat PDF reader. |
This one shows the compass… |
and this one the calibration procedure. |

 |
| This is the ring tone application. I have heard this app is also multi-touch enabled, but this is not confirmed. |
The above is of course the wireless router app. |
This one is interesting. We of course know the phone will go into a special Navipanel mode when connected to its special cradle, but this app suggests it can be made to do so simply by connecting to your car kit, which means any cradle will work. |

 |
| This one shows video playing smoothly at 1703 kb/sec in media player, indicating hardware acceleration in this app for selected codecs. |
This one shows the prettier icons. |
This one shows the current build numbers, which are still beta. |

Likely the usual MP4 and WMV.

I can try and check for you… On all HTC devices some of the codecs are OEM, so some codecs are hardware accelerated by HTC. MP4 probably will be, and I'd guess WMV but will check which ones really are…

i hadn't thought of it, but between the large capacitive screen and fast processor PDFs will actually be readable on the HD2. i guess on some level i shy away from it on my Fuze because it's horrible for PDFs.
