New Windows Mobile software site brings style to the app hunt

bestwindowsmobileapps

Our friends over at 1800PocketPC.com have launched a new site dedicated to highlighting the best and brightest Windows Mobile software.

BestWindowsMobileApps.com does exactly what it says in the tin – highlight the best and most attractive software on the Windows Mobile platform, usually with an accompanying video so you can have a feel of the software before you decide to download and buy, and also with extensive detail in the description and review.

Even in this early stage the stylish site has brought software to my attention I had not heard of before- who knew Windows Mobile had a version of Tower Defence for example?

Visit BestWindowsMobileApps.com here to see if you can discover great new software too.

It's great to see some more apps for windows mobile but the prices are WAY TO HIGH. Most similar iphone apps are buyable for like 1 to 6 dollar. While most prices here are 15 to 25 dollar wich is quit alot of money, this way windows appstores will never be as popular as the apple appstore. I think the site should make restrictions to how much certain apps may cost.. This way illegal distribution off apps will grow and the amount of people looking for apps are going down due to the fact they are simply scared of the prices.. and only people who know how to upload illegal apps to their device will use multiple apps. Good thing about the website is that they display the cons and pros of applications and price and no demo version are almost always with the cons.

Okay, at first I though when people said that WinMo apps from the Marketplace were overpriced that they were about 5-10 bucks, BUT 25 DOLLARS FOR A TOWER DEFENSE GAME?!
How on earth do they expect people to buy a glorified flash game for the price of a real game?!

  • cool site, bookmarked it already. As the others I think the apps are way overpriced, I don't know what they were thinking because that high price will definetely not get them many customers at all. Actually it increases piracy (as Peter already pointed out).
