More HTC HD2 camera and video samples
Click for the 2.3 MB originals
Tomas Sejkora have uploaded some more video and photo samples of the HTC HD2, and as usual I find, for a camera phone, the result quite passable. The pictures may have a bit of over-compression issues, making them fuzzy at full size, but the video looks quite excellent, with a good frame rate, and no blurring, despite the camera bouncing over cobble stones.
The video below was taken indoors in low light, but looks pretty good in the uncompressed version below, played in VLC.
Two full video samples can be downloaded here (5 MB) and here (34 MB).

The picture have great detail.
The Carrusel video is:
Resolution: 680×480
Sound: mono ACC 48,000
Frames per second: 17
These videos look very good but Can the HD2 do better than that?

Here is the EXIF information from the red bus photo. A fast shutter (good for movement, and a cheap way to reduce camera shake) but quite a wide aperture (not good for depth of field or focus). The other photo has the same info apart from the name and time. The manual says you can adjust the ISO setting (sensitivity) but I see no way to adjust the shutter speed or aperture.

What I have just realised is that there is no embedded GPS data in there! I had thought that this would be automatic, and would welcome inclusion in a review. It is a big part of the footprints module, but I see from the manual that this only saves with a "small photo of the location". You can however take an existing GPS tagged photo and create a footprint from it, which suggests that photos can be GPS tagged. Maybe I can answer the question when my HD2 arrives.
