Asus P565 gets real, still 800 Mhz, claims world’s fastest

Asus has finally made the P565 official. The Windows Mobile professional smartphone features a 2.8 inch VGA screen, and as is the fashion of the times, excludes a keyboard for a finger-friendly UI layer, Asus’s Glide Interface.

The device otherwise has most of today’s required smartphone features, like a megapixel autofocus camera, 3.6 Mb/sec HSDPA on the European 2100 Mhz frequency, 3 megapixel autofocus camera, WIFI and Bluetooth, and SIRF III GPS.

Where the P565 however distinguishes itself is with its 800 Mhz processor, which Asus claims scores Vsbenchmark scores almost twice that of competing products in its class.

The Glide interface is no slouch either, seemingly much improved from the screenshots we saw earlier.
