We told you two weeks ago that Samsung Omnia II was available for pre orders in Argentina through the carrier Personal. Finally, that Windows Phone have arrived to those lands and users can adquire it trough Personal. The plans available are the same that we told you in previous post.

Toshiba has just announced the arrival in Spain of Toshiba TG01 with Windows Mobile 6.5. Previously it was for sale with Windows Mobile 6.1. From Tuesday 22 December it will be purchased with Windows Mobile 6.5.

Those who already have the terminal can upgrade to version 6.5 in Spanish from Toshiba’s official website in Europe. So far the upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5 was available only in English, German and French.

Samsung Omnia II now available for pre orders in Argentina

We told you earlier that Windows Phone would be arriving at Latin America, and now we can also bring the welcome news that the Samsung Omnia II will be available soon in Argentina, through the carrier Personal.

The Omnia 2 will cost ARS$ 1499 with the All Inclusive Plan that includes 300 sms, 300 minutes of voice, 300MB and 5 numbers to communicate free of charge (4 lines of Staff and 1 land line). Another option costs ARS$ 1699 with the All Inclusive Plan 200, which includes 200 SMS, 200 voice minutes, 200 MB and 5 friends to communicate with unlimited numbers free (4 lines of Staff and 1 land line).

Microsoft announces Windows Phones for Latin America

Microsoft is having a Windows Phone event for Latin America in Buenos Aires. Yes, Windows Mobile 6.5 has come to Latin America.

11 Latin American countries will be receiving over the next few days the first phones with the new Microsoft operating system. The exact dates or countries have not been specified.

Douglas Smith, director of mobile division in the Americas at Microsoft, announced that the first three phones with Windows Phone we will have available are: Samsung Omnia II, HTC Touch 2 and LG GW550.
