Bing Vision upgraded to recognize newspaper articles also

The Bing Vision service is receiving a server-side update which allows the service, which can recognize CD and DVD covers, QRCodes and other barcodes, to also recognize newspaper articles.

Bing Image Matching for Newspapers allows users to quickly find the digital version of a print magazine or newspaper article.

A Microsoft representative told Knowyourmobile

‘Bing Image Matching for Newspapers allows users to take a photo of an article using their Windows Phone camera and link directly to a digital version of the article online.’

‘Offering global access, consumers will have access to content from over 3,000 publications worldwide.’

The new feature is expected to roll out in March.

What’s the betting it’s going to be another US-only feature? I love my WP7, use all the Microsoft products, but it’s incredibly frustrating that some of the killer features are restricted by geography.
