WindowsPhoneApps.es, who recently found the Tuenti app for Windows Phone, has revealed how their discovery came about, noting that this was due to a serious bug in the Nokia App Highlights app, which would revealed beta, internal and unreleased applications when doing a search.
Searching for Microsoft would reveal apps such as Life@Microsoft for example, while searching for Nokia brought up some Nokia Internal only apps such as Nokia Locate3D.
The bug revealed for example there was an app for MySpace on the way – the bad news is that no Instagram app showed up, but that of course does not exclude it.
WindowsPhoneApps.es has notified Microsoft Iberia of the bug, and the search function, which is the source of the loophole, has been removed from the app.
