Your website’s user interface is HORRENDOUS! I’m experiencing 3 major issues with your website:

1) Your stories/articles are against a white background, while the comments are against a black background. Going from reading a full article against a white background and then to reading comments against a black background contributes to significant eye strain. Both the article and comments area should be against the same color (while black background does look sleeker, a white background has much less strain on the eyes after reading lots of text).

2) The fact that you place many banner ad boxes directly in between the articles and the reader comments is very bad user interface design. Comments should flow immediately after reading an article. Making people scroll down more than half a page of ads before being able to view comments is plain tacky. You should remove the banner ad boxes that display before the reader comments. It causes confusion and truly hinders people from contributing easily. What also happens is that as each of the banner ad boxes SLOWLY load, it pushes the comments area further down the page every few seconds making users “chase” the friggin comments box down the page. This is RIDICULOUS.

3) Your website has WAY too many banner advertisement boxes showing in general, many of which have NOTHING to do with the nature of your website (Toyota ads, nutrition, Moving Services???). To make matters worse, they are causing your site to load VERY slow in comparison to how fast a good website should load. To wait 7-10+ seconds for the ads to form is a nuisance.

You should seriously talk with your website designer. It’s truly awful.

I don’t know who is handling your site design, but it’s always a bad idea to use a production site to learn website design. My advice, leave the website design to the professionals or suffer the concequences you see below. And yeah in case you’re still unsure, it’s terrible and I’m considering just using wpcentral now!
