Cool! Successful proposal using WP7 Wordament Game clone

Here is a wedding proposal a bit more creative than hiding the ring in the champagne. Munkiiyebee and Jenny were both Wordament fans, and, inspired by the game, he created this clone, shown in the video above, rigged to ask the all important question.

He tells his story below:

Myself and my girlfriend are big fans of Wordament and often play it together. I recently decided that it was time to ask her to marry me and I wanted a fun and original way of doing it. I thought about how cool it would be to have a custom game of Wordament where some of the words were “will”, “you”, “marry” and “me”.

As a WP7 dev I decided to create a private, one-off version of Wordament just for us, for that night.

I just wanted to thank you guys for a great game and being the inspiration for my marriage proposal.

I think there’s some dust in my eye…

I can’t disagree with you there, there IS NO way she could see that coming. Poor thing has probably been dreaming about the day she gets engaged since she was a little girl. Imagining a romantic meal with wine and candles and all that in a nice restaurant. Instead she gets a proposal through a mobile phone over a microwave meal in front of the TV….and they say romance is dead….
