Dell Venue Pro now available for 199 Euro without contract!

If you are Nokia hater like me, but you would like to get decent Windows Phone 7 device, then you can get one if you live or visit Germany:

The phone has slide-out QWERTY keyboard (or QWERTZ to be precise as it is German version) and features 16 GB and 1GHz processor. Interestingly both Dell and other online retailers still offer this phone for 399 Euro, so this discount price at Media Markt is exceptionally low, particularly considering that it is a phone without contract. It’s almost prepaid phone price!

With the new firmware update for the Dell Venue Pro fixing most of the complaints about the device, and Mango on the horizon, it may just be a great deal.

Dell venue Pro firmware has multiple bugs which are still not seen to be Dell.
This phone is one of the worst phone 7′s even worse than my Omnia 7 which crashes 3 – 4 times a day.

I am unsure, I love it and i love Windows phone but since I got it it has always been crashing. Before nodo and before mango. I hope to get a new Windwos phone soon

I live in Ireland and are with Three mobile, if i want to return it and get a new one i would have to wait up to 2 weeks for my replacement, so i just put up with the crashes and wait for a new mango device to come out

Heh you are lucky … I have an issue with the camera … and if i had to return it i have to wait a month for a new one but… they keep telling me that i have to go to another city(!) and return it there … thats bull but … yeah

But mine don’t crash at all and I’m with Mango now witch i supposed it’ll crash a lot but … nope

Memoryproblems maybe, can happen to any device.
Return it and get a new one.

Ur Omnia crashes? Mine is probably the most stable phone I’ve owned. According to this app “System Information” my phone was running for over 8 weeks without rebooting at one point. Ever since Nodo I have never needed to reboot my Omnia because of an OS issue or have it crash.

Not a big fan of the Dell and its particular keyboard but interesting news still. Hoping for even better deals on the other generation one devices, as generation two and mango approaches. Venue Pro is €260-280 on Ebay so this is a real drop in price to say the least. Would love to see Omnia 7 drop another €50 or so on Ebay and I might just get it despite all its problems.

I don’t think so: I just visited website of T-Mobile Germany (Deutsche Telekom) and Omnia 7 is no longer sold there.

we have HD7 for 181€ available at o2 Germany….thats dirt cheap for a 4.3 inch phone.

I don’t think so: I just visited website of O2 Germany and HTC HD7 is there available for 301 euro. Maybe your 181 euro price is with contract (i.e. 24 or 12 months subscription)?

no its without a contract on myHandy. Ya, the official price is still 301 but we got 10 devices that we can sell for 181€ (7.5€ a month instead of 12.5€).

Beach ! Don’t be the person that can’t device between an electronic device and a freakin’ holiday where you will certainly enjoy yourself and have the memory for the rest of your life.. You can always buy it (and save up untill then) near the winter when you probably won’t go on a holiday.
