The infamous Eldar Murtazin claims to have seen Nokia’s upcoming aluminium flagship at a “secret room” at Mobile World Congress where unreleased handsets are shown off to journalists.
He claimed the device has a great aluminium body and a “good camera” and felt it could be a great device, “the most popular this year”…
… Except of course he felt it was being held back by Windows Phone 8, saying:
There is Windows Phone inside, it did not change and it spoils all of the fun. "Oh, Windows Phone, why are you not Android" said people around and shaking their heads.
Eldar concluded that, like the Nokia Lumia 920, there will be a lot of noise but no great sales.
While Eldar may be right that the handset will not sell in the tens of millions, I think like the Nokia Lumia 920 it will boost the whole ecosystem, and as the ecosystem builds on previous releases it will almost certainly do better than the preceding handset.
