Exclusive: Marketing render for unannounced Verizon Nokia Lumia 729 leaks

It seems Nokia is continuing their low-end assault on the US market, with the latest handset to be revealed being a Verizon version of the Nokia Lumia 720, the Nokia Lumia 729.

The handset would slot in under the Nokia Lumia 928 and Nokia Lumia 822 on the network, but presumably in practice replace the now older Nokia Lumia 822, which was launched all the way back in 2012.

Interestingly the handset claims to have a Pureview camera, suggesting a somewhat higher spec than the current NL 720.  There have been some rumours recently that Nokia’s new mid-range handsets will start having HD screens, which may make this handset relatively competitive in the US market.
