The HTC HD7 revealed

Unfortunately its not an actual picture, but for a black slab the schematic s close enough. Above is the real successor to the HTC HD2, the HTC HD7, previously of course the HTC HD3, featuring the near bezel-less 4.3 inch screen we are so familiar with. This device is distinct from the HTC 7 Trophy, which has a smaller screen, and has a different button arrangement but of course still runs Windows Phone 7.

From previous leaks we expect this smartphone to be one of the launch devices world-wide.

At last! Need to see the actual device but this will be purchased on day 1. Lets hope the storage is big and I don't mean 8gb HTC, 16/32gb please!

Yes, the problem is the storage. I will not buy it if it has a ridiculous 8 GB storage.

If you look carefully the screen of the HTC Trophy you will notice that it has even less than 8 GB storage. Pathetic. No way to store your music or videos.

Sorry, but in year 2010, with all the competitors on the market, a decent device shall come with a standard 32 GB storage.

From what I can tell from the limited leaks, the trophy volume controls are on the left. If this leak is accurate, the HD7's are on the right.

Yeah it does look very similar to the trophy. But the Trophy has the USB port on the left hand side while this layout shows it on the bottom.

there is so much gap at the bottom,below the screen.
with a 4.3 screen such huge gap will make it bulkier i guess….

Is the jack at the bottom of the phone ?! Seriously… It's a detail alright but I like to have my phone on the right orientation when it's in my pocket and not upside-down…
I guess I'll go with another device (as long as they don't do the same mistake)

It makes sense to have it upside down; when you put your hand in and pull it out, it is the correct way up.

Anyone who has an HD2 would see that this device seems to have very similar in proportions, unlike all of the WP7 HTC devices revealed so far.

My guess? This is the HTC HD7.

If the specs are good I could be looking at my next phone, well, still have to hold one in my hand and see how it feels first. For those saying how this looks like the trophy, well maybe one is just a lower end model of the other? It makes sense for the HD7 to be the higher end WP7 device of the two even if the designs are close. That's why I don't expect this to have some small 8GB storage and 256MB of RAM. We'll know in time though.

That would make sense.
Small 8GB storage and 256MB of RAM is not indeed the specs of a higher end WP7 device.

Maybe the Trophy is actually the lower end device, with such limited storage and RAM, and the HD7 is the higher end device with a regular 16/32 GB storage and a decent RAM.

Anyway, I will not buy a 8 GB storage only device. It's too much money for limited specs and restricted use. Especially if external storage card is not allowed.

The Trophy is for people who want a WP7 and cannot afford to or can live with the limited storage space. I have an Evo and am not close to using up 8gb of space. I have a separate device for music because the Evo is too big when I work out.

The best thing is regardless which version we get the experience should be as smooth and rich as any other WP7.

Guys, this is definitely not the HD7, Because, there is no way the screen is 4.3", otherwise the jack would be oversized…
This is the trophy, no doubt. The HD7 will be way batter looking, and you can be sure HTC will manage not to leak the HD7 until the D-day because you all know the HDx devices are the ultimate HTC devices, the ones that made them famous, even more than the touch diamond. This doesn't look like an ultimate device, the overall design is rather meh, i think and the 8GB storage is definitely not Epic. I'm still waiting for the real HD7.

I am desirous to buy a WP7 device, but all the devices we've seen so far has only a pathetic 8 GB storage capacity.

Think about it. With no slot for any external SD card how can you even store your music, your videos ? It is not possible.

So I am a HTC fan, I am a Windows fan, but I am not stupid. And I will not buy a WP7 device until there is a hardware with a 16/32 Gb storage.

They probably Hwant the stupid customers to rush and buy all their 8 Gb phones, and 3 months later they will try to sell them a new device with the regular 16/32 Gb storage. ow to make money on customers' back. Enough.
