Game Review: Zombies!!!

Zombies!!! is an exciting board game with some great gameplay (Video Review).

Zombies!!! does everything really well! It’s a fun board game with lots of challenging elements and strategies.

Gameplay: 5/5

In Zombies!!!, there are a number of different rule sets you can use, but with the standard rules, you have to either make it to the helicopter landing zone or kill a total of 25 zombies. This becomes really tough since more zombies are constantly added and your health is usually at risk. Also, the other people playing the game (either computer AI or your local friends) actually fight against you and try to make you die so that they can live. The cards you get also add great variation to the gameplay. For a board game, this has some excellent depth to it. And the controls work perfectly.

For a board game, the visuals are impressive! The game renders in 3D and has some nice looking zombies. The sounds are also great, especially with the ominous deep sounds resonating quietly in the background.

Lasting Value: 5/5

Completing a single game may be faster or shorter depending on how well you play, but you can expect an average of at least 1 hour per game. So you could then replay the game a number of times to try to win if you lost previously, or try playing with different rules. You can also play a game with your friends, up to 5 people total (local multiplayer, not wireless). All of those things create a really long lasting board game.

It looks fun, though $5 is pretty expensive for a game on your phone.

On the other hand, local multiplayer with 5 friends is a great feature, and no game will be the same because of the different rulesets and placement of the 'city blocks'.
