Google aims to kill facebook, twitter and foursquare – no Windows Mobile client yet

Google has just announced its new social network service, which combines elements of all the biggest or more interesting social networks of today.

The service will include a mobile component, but as of yet only clients for the iPhone and Android are available, with Symbian, RIM and Windows Mobile versions being promised.

    Ugh, more BS from Google. Personally I'm still trying to make sense of what Google Wave exactly is and what it's supposed to do.

      yea, I have no idea either. I signed up, got invited, and still have yet to know what it is. All I know is that there are a bunch of fantasy games on it, but they seem to be a bit odd. I'm afraid that the google mail got there head now they think that everything they make is that good.

      Wave is a super-beefed up version of Notebook, but with a lot more possibilities.

    Not that I ever thought different but Google’s intentions on world domination is all to apparent. They’ve entered the phone (OS and hardware), desktop, social media segment in the past year. Ultimately, they are no different that Microsoft, everyone wants to be number one. Don't get me wrong I think competition is a wonderful thing but I think Google can drop the “Don’t be evil” guise now.

      The difference is if Microsoft was aggresively entering other markets people would call foul, google on the other hand is seen as some benevolent entity and given a free pass. This is another "free" service I wouldnt touch with a 10 foot pole.

    There are no clients for Iphone or android it's a mobile site that requires html5. If winmo had a webkit browser that supported html5 we could use it as well.

      What about Skyfire?

      Apparently their servers run Firefox which supports HTML5 as of 3.6 I think… so if it works on Firefox it should work on Skyfire.

        I don't think skyfire uses html5 to get access to your phone's hardware. you get access to the servers location info. also I don't think it is read as a mobile browser. you get the desktop version which is integrated with gmail.
