Homebrew: Windows Phone 7 gets visual voice mail

screenshot1b screenshot2

Currently only working for certain on Orange France, but with the right settings possibly on other networks, TheBeO has hacked up a Visual Voice Mail client for Windows Phone 7.

The app will not pass Marketplace certification as it uses sockets, so will remain Home Brew until Mango is released.

The app lets you get, listen, and manage your voice mail in a visual app and features at present:

  • get yours voice mails (and sync with the operator server)
  • tap on a item to show details, and play button to listen
  • double tap an item to automatically play the message
  • delete a message (only phone side. When you delete an item, it is archived for the moment)
    - call, send sms, save (to the calling number)
