HTC Touch Pro2 GSM WMPoweruser Series ROM Now Available

Well guys after hours of perfecting the ROM, Ark delivers you a freshly cooked ROM in the flavoring of Windows Mobile 6.5 and 6.5.3. The ROM is build on 23518, which is by far the best and most stable 6.5.3 ROM so far, and also 21889, which is the most stable 6.5 build so far.

Here is some information for you guys:

* CE OS 5.2.21889 Build 21889.5.0.87 / CE OS 5.2.23518 Build 23518.5.5.0
* HTC Sense 2.5 Landscape
* LEO SMS engine updated
* HTC Sense updated
* Better video playback (Youtube)

* TomAutoCabInstall.exe (Just create a folder on your SD card with the name Autoinstall, you can put cab files, xml or other customization files, and these will auto install on first boot.

EDIT: I advise you to make an hardreset after flash and remove the sim card.

* Create folder in Root of Storage Card called [ Autoinstall ]
* Copy all your cabs in that folder
* After Flash , and during customisations all your cab will be installed.
* Also set your cabs to read only
* So get Your Storage Card prepared with all your Cabs to install.

This ROM is based and build on his original ROM, but this one is made for you, and I think you will all like it, because it is fast stable and looks good(to me).

He put A lot of time into the ROM and I think, if you can, give him a little something and Donate to ARK for his work.

Thanks, WMPowerUser. This is pretty cool. I like the idea of having a set of "official" WMPU ROMs. I'm not a huge ROM flasher. I like to find one ROM and stick with it for a long while. I know that WMPU has a lot of heavy ROM flashers, so I like the idea of having you test and filter out the bad ROMs and release an "official" ROM that is high performance and stable.

I usually give you guys a hard time for things like the obsession of capacitive screens. But, seriously, thanks for this! This is really cool!!

6.5.3 is not as stable as i thought the bottom menu take over the sense ui sometimes and the ROM its self runs a bit slow i test it the ROM for bout but other than that its great. great icons, wallpapers and the build is not buggy. will try the other 6.5.0 build. Also you shuld let the people know its GSM.

Also if you want it faster then you might not wanna use Sense UI, we could make it a lot faster, but the your batteries would die faster than you could check your email

Howdy,
I've been trying these two ROMS for a few days now on my AT&T Tilt2 and wanted to share some feedback. I had previously tried a popular 6.5.x ROM a couple months ago but rolled back because it was too unstable. Like the poll said, stability and speed are the most important things.

So anyways, I first tried the 6.5.3 one assuming it would be ok to use now since the OS is supposed to be released next month. It was much better than the last time, but still noticeably slower on the TP2 than a 6.5 ROM. The overall visual appearance is beautiful, and I really like the Start Menu organization & installed apps. But there were some UI bugs in the TF3D/Sense shell that annoyed me.

So I switched to the 6.5 version yesterday. Speed was back to being "normal", but I was a little disappointed that it was still using the new HD2 version of TF3D/Sense instead of the one that HTC used on 6.5 phones. There are display issues on the email tab with the email account icons, and the weather display seems to have some issues occasionally. Minor stuff really, but the big issue I've found is answering calls. When I get an incoming voice call, pushing the talk button seems to do nothing.. or sometimes it locks up and waits at least 5-7 seconds before responding. That makes answering calls almost unusable.

Overall great job, especially the visual stuff – it looks really really good. Unfortunately if I can't figure out how to fix the dialer/answering part going to have to give up on this ROM though.
