HTC TouchPro2(GSM) WMPU series ROM

The WMPowerUser series ROM was released for the TouchPro2 two weeks ago, and like I promised, I will update the ROMz. This post is asking you what you found wrong with your TouchPro2(GSM) ROM, and of course we will include the newest Sense 2.5 with the Ebook readers and more.

Please Comment below and give us your feedback as to what you want us to improve, fix, change in the next update we will release soon. We will also include some new devices when this ROM and others are update.

My main problem was how the screen would freeze and make accessing the home screen impossible, necessitating a soft reset. Also, the SMS application w/ MMS was integrated well but it froze nearly everytime I slid my Keyboard open.

First, I thought the first draft of the WMPowerUser ROM was overall pretty good and I loved the theme. Thank you for spending the time to put it together.

The main issue that caused me to remove the ROM and use a different one was the dialer freezing up every time I received a voice call on my AT&T Tilt 2. There were some obvious rendering issues in the Sense UI (email icons were distorted, clock on home page would sometimes show double), and the Sense 2.5 you used wasn't very quick on the TP2 cpu.

To use this ROM again I'd love to see:

1. Fix the dialer so it's compatible with AT&T (or offer an alt version)

2. Update the Sense version to be as fast as possible, and hopefully fairly bug free. I do like the improved Home Screen UI & Email UI in Sense 2.5, but I wouldn't mind going back to Sense 2.1 if needed for speed & stability. From reading XDA, I believe there are some newer builds of Sense 2.5 that are fairly quick though.

3. Keep the pre-installed apps to minimum – just the stuff you can't readily download from the Marketplace. It's annoying to get a ROM that has stuff like Facebook, MyPhone, and Windows Live pre-installed and in some custom folder. Because then it shows up in Marketplace as not installed and you don't get notified of updates. And it's not easy to tell whether the versions that come pre-installed are older than what's in the Marketplace. So I usually reinstall from the marketplace and then have to cleanup the duplicate shortcuts…
