Is This The Google+ App For Windows Phone?

Kevin Marshall, Developer from Clarity Consulting has tweeted a screenshot of an app. The app looks like Google+ app for Windows Phone. For your information, Clarity Consulting is the dev behind Official Facebook app for Windows Phones.

The only issue for me is that, by the time the app comes to marketplace, Google+ may die. Most of the discussion on Google+ for the past few days has been, whether Google+ is dead or not.

” For your information, Clarity Consulting is the dev behind Official Facebook app for Windows Phones.”

So its Clarity Consulting that sucks.

    • Mus Gaid

Is it me or it looks really ugly, it’s like unfinished app.

      ya seriously lol…

      slowest app ever.

Really? The slowest app ever? I can’t decide if you’re an idiot or a liar. Maybe both.

It’s still in beta and it has over 10 million users. How can it be dead?

However, some may say that Windows Phone is dead, judging by the market share…

    • appie flappie

The funny thing is, that if we look at the Market Share then Google+ is dead too ;)

750 million compared to 10. Thats about 1.5%?

And every Google product has been in beta for years. It just a way to be able to remove the service when its not going good.

      • Stefano Rinaldi

        The Google + service is:

        - Just out of invite only stages
        - In Beta form and in testing
        - Been around for baerly 2 months

So far, it has risen exponentially in terms of user base, far quicker than MySpace or Facebook, partly due to the fact that social networking is far more popular than at the genesis of FB and MySpace, but also, partly due to the fact that Google have really hit home with Plus. It works better in most respects than FB, and has potential to do so much more.

You cannot compare market share of a product only just made available to the public, and call it dead. 5 minutes after the PS2 was released, it was sooo dead. Nobody had it.

Come on, stop with the Google hate here.

10 mil accounts does not mean they are being used.. heck my account is there, opened out of curiosity, now i just dont care for it.

I do not see how Google+ can ‘die’, at least not so soon. Judging by the user base increase and the amount of investment that went into it, not forgetting the synchronized UI refresh across most Google products in line with the launch, that’s a far fetched hope.

I’m no user of Google+ but I welcome the option so that the choice exists to the users on this platform; as for it dying or not… well, that’s (yet) for the market to decide.

  • http://www.ScienceProUSA.com SciencePro

That screenshot looks so laughably bad/fake I can’t even take you guys seriously.

And if you think Google + is on it’s way out, you are fools. It’s not even open to the public yet.

I’ll tell you this: It’s a helluva lot more popular than Windows Phone 7.

It’s said elsewhere (more like speculated) that IceCreamSandwich will include tighter integration with G+, including the Circles/Streams/Huddle lingo into other parts of the OS.
I really hope that’s true. Circles should also spread into services like GMail, and Calendar. It’s really an excellent way to filter content to your friends, not only because of privacy, but also because of interests different circles of friends may have towards what you share.

This is such a poorly written piece.. Google + is in its beta stage ant it has more than 10mil user.. more than wp7

20 Million users, lots are active, about 90% of the people I follow or invited post daily, its nice to be free of facebook crap, games etc…

It’s not even in beta, it’s on Field Test. Google already said that having a beta on a Social Network is very difficult, so they just rolled the thing out and saw how it went.
I for one, salute to our new social overlords. Give it time, it will become part of everything google, and as you can see (if you use GMail) you don’t even have to go to the page to post, share, comment or answer to a post. It’s spreading all over other Google Services. It’ll become part of it, hopefully when Icecream hits market in a couple months.

So, I’m anxious for more Windows Phone news, so I add WMPoweruser to my RSS reader.

    I read this:
“The only issue for me is that, by the time the app comes to marketplace, Google+ may die. Most of the discussion on Google+ for the past few days has been, whether Google+ is dead or not.”

And I remove WMPoweruser from my RSS reader. I can stand fanboyism but for my first impression I see a baseless, groundless, hack job editorial and that certainly isn’t a good sign.

Regarding Google+, its my own opinion and I mentioned it as “may” not “will”. Google+ usage is decreasing after the initial launch and everyone knows that. I’m not a Google hater or Microsoft fanboy. I use gmail,Google reader, search, etc,.

I’m sure most Google+ users registered out of curiosity and then returned back to good ol Facebook. Let Google+ be forgotten like so many other past social attempts of El Goog ( Buzz, Wave etc)

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Sagiv-Hadaya/904380075 Sagiv Hadaya

      so true.. me included.
the sad thing was the feeling i had when I coulnd find anyone. :(

      • http://twitter.com/scotttech1 Scott Carpenter

maybe you couldn’t find anyone because you didn’t invite your friends, or perhaps you are sad because you had none to invite?

for all those who are saying its in beta and caanot be dead: hello sir, can you name a few google “new” products that were not in beta and died in beta? for god sake, orkut is 6 yrs old and still in beta, wave died in beta, buzz will die in beta. google labs died in beta and so does translator….most of google properties die in beta only. They dont live long. As for google+, people joined it because of the “artifical scracity” and no one went back. I have over 50 friends on it and yet no one uses it. even more, the tech world is also starting to get away with it. No matter how bad you feel or call me ignorant, the initial buzz was the only thing that got so many people to try it, not the buzz is dead it will die soon. Google + offers nothing but swanky names to groups, chat, wall, and so forth. The useage has declined, there are around 20 million users and the count is increasing at a decreasing pace. It will peak at around 40 million I say before it dies completely. Tuff, but true

    • Anonymous

None of the so-called dead betas services had 10 million users at Beta state.. Google had to put a leash on invites to stop the number from going up..

The write up was utter garbage and too fanboyish in nature and it must be condemned.. what is right is right.. I see more of these trash write-ups and am out of here for good.

and who said translator and and buzz is dead?

      • Anonymous

        Why wait?

Um…you do know Translator isn’t dead. Google has cut off API’s to third party for “improper use”, whatever that is.

      So it’s quite the opposite.

Orkut isn’t big in the US, but outside of it, it actually has users. So dead to you, yes. Dead to others, no.

I tire of people using their self contained cases to evaluate something. If that’s the case, I have upwards of 200 people on there, and I have posts on my Stream regularly. So I guess, by your logic of self contained evidence, that Google+ is far from dead. *gasp*

      • Anonymous

“Orkut isn’t big in the US, but outside of it, it actually has users” – Leaving Brazil, Orkut is nothing outside US. In India, it had significant marketshare, but its losing at faster pace to Facebook.I bet, next year, they will be less than 20%.
Regarding Google+ case, yes its my personal opinion on what I see and analyse. Not a report.

        • http://daveysmind.tumblr.com David M.D.

As long as that is acknowledged, I’m perfectly fine with that.

Hey, hey people, concentrate! Its Clarity Consulting again. Ive just finished making a negative comment about how Microsoft seems to be out of touch and this just confirms it.
I mean, how the hell are they going to use CC again after the mess they made with the Facebook app. This has to be the most ridiculous thing ever. The Facebook app is probably the worst high profile app on WP7. It had 2 out of 5 stars which means its extremely poor (and thats thousands of users’ ratings) Its laggy and buggy, rendering it virtually unusable. They havent bothered to try and make it better. If anything, each update makes it worse as seen with the last one that left users not being able to view photos. In a nutshell, Clarity Consulting are a bunch of incompetent idiots.

    • Anonymous

Hey moron, do you have proof that CC was sanctioned by Microsoft to make this app on their behalf?

IIRC MS has said themselves that they are responsible for the facebook-app, so yeah.

  • Anonymous

I’m share Imperial Dynamics point of view. For me, I’m sort of meh about G+. I got in out of curiosity and I have to say I really don’t care about it. Moreover I don’t see where G+ is going. If MS set one up centered around WP7, I’d be more inclined to help grow that model than continue to expand Google any more than it is.

  • http://chmun77.myopenid.com/ Claypot77

Actually, regardless will G+ take off or not, is always good to have apps that can allows users from other platforms to be able to access to. I don’t see why G+ will affect Facebook or vice versa because no every friend we have will be on both platforms.

Yes, G+ may look like a very plain products now, but no one knows how things will be in the future. Don’t forget that there are really lots of Android users out there and the user base for G+ may not just die off like other beta Google once had.

Lets see. Google+, just like anything new, will garner alot of initial interest. The question is can it sustain it? The latest data is not good news for Google+. A whooping 3% drop so early is not good at all. http://www.christianpost.com/news/google-plus-us-traffic-down-visitors-spending-less-time-on-site-52979/
