htchd2batteryissue HTC HD2 battery life has been a hot area of contention, with some reporting excellent battery life (and have bench marks to prove it) and others (like me) not making it through even an 8 hour business day on one charge.

The forums at TracyandMatt.co.uk is one place where HTC HD2 owners congregated to discuss the issue, so if you want some reassurance than your experience is not unusual, or maybe pick up tips to manage the issue, head right over there.

But I feel the Battery is not that good as HTC Touch HD. HTC HD2 has 1250 mA battery, they should gime more powerfull battery for such a big screen.

I can last just over a day, but I have wifi switched off, mails updated once a day, backlight on 40% and phone switches off itself after not being used for 1 minute or 30 minutes when charging. I normally charge it for about 7 hours, but I'm wondering whether I should continue to let the battery run after the warning that only 10% of the battery remains and that I should charge it to prevent data loss..

My battery last about 12 hrs for first 2 days of use.
Now (third day) I use some tweaks & charging method (to form charging capacity).

Charging Method:
Last night I let my battery drained up to 2 %, turned my Leo off & charge it for more than 8 hrs.

Today I turn it on at 1:30PM & after 6 hrs (7:30PM) it 53%, so today it will be around 12 hrs again.
Tonight I'll try the same charging method & will continue it 1 more time tomorrow to see if there are some differences.

first time i got mine..i was charging it for about 6-7 hours. but still the battery is bad. i made few fone calls (3-5 calls) for 3-4 min each, turn wifi-on for about 15 min, gprs also on for about 15 min, send text message about 20 times..and up to half day the battery went to 54%..at 5.30pm i continued with entering contact data for about 30 min…and played vid clip about 5 minutes..and the batt went down to 28%…at 8pm i did plug for charging…this is worse than my bb onyx (full gprs all the way + 3-4 hours wifi on can last 1.5day)…i dont understand why some people say the batt is lasting for few days…its hard to believe.

ive also got the extended brick battery 2400mah , charged all day 1030am off charge, switched off all the data 3g no calls made
its now 920pm and im on 17% , with no call made just having the phone on standby, clearly its a software issue draining power when it shouldnt , i may have to give the hd2 up, also my hd touch is always lying about but after a full charge and on stanby it will last 2 weeks with out any problems , i give up!

Mine worked fine for about four months. Then a couple of days ago, the battery heated up enormously when charging, the charging was much slower than it had been and it now loses the charge completely in a couple of hours – without using it. Good product crap battery.
