Just use Expression Blend and get done with it!

This definitely makes me scratch my head! We have had several posts on this site about the ease of development using Expression Blend so when I came across the above website, I had to chuckle a little. The product, a post-it-note pad, is essentially a “flintstone” method for brainstorming and visualizing apps for the iPhone. The site goes on to say

Compare this to Expression Blend for WP7, using the Sketchflow feature, a developer can not only rapidly prototype their app on their PC (instead of a piece of paper!) they can even deploy it on the phone emulator with a few steps and never having to write a line of code. The WP7 tools go even further enabling the user to import photoshop files in layers as you can see on the video below. For developers, the choice for mobile phone SDKS cannot be any clearer. By a show of hands, who wants to prototype an app using post-it notes?

Please note: I know this is not an official Apple product but I think the comparison is still valid.

I'm just a big an anti-fan of apple as anyone I know, and never hesitate to seize an opportunity to ridicule… but even I have to say you're nitpicking on this one.

It's by no means a bad idea. if I was an iphone app developer and inspiration hits, I'm not going to wait until I get to a computer boot it up and launch a program etc etc etc… I just want to jot it down NOW before i forget.

if anything they should be making wp7 versions of these because I for one would totally buy a pack…

You are right that the product is a great tool when away from the PC. I hope that I did not come across as anti-apple. I'm just trying to convince skeptical developers that WP7 is indeed a great platform to write apps for and it offers power and flexibility not available on other platforms.

I'm still scratching my head.

When I have an idea I don't want to forget, I use anything on my reach, toilet paper if necessary. Having an iphone look-alike grid pad is ridiculous. Ideas are concepts! At a conceptual level you don't count the pixels.

In a second tought, maybe you can count the pixels in a low resolution screen like the iphone 3GS.
