Like clockwork Kantar has released another set of smartphone market share numbers, this time for the 12 weeks leading up to September 30th.
The numbers show the effect of delayed purchases, with a small drop in market share in Europe from 5% a month earlier to 4.9% most recently.
Individually however the picture is more mixed, with Germany dropping from 4% to 2.7%, while France increased from 5.7 to 6.5%. Italy also increased its share, from 10.4% a month earlier to 11% in the 12 weeks ending Sept 30th.
Increases were also registered in Spain (1.6 to 2.5%) and even USA (2.7 to 2.9%), and for the the first time we have numbers for urban China, showing Windows Phone having a 5.7% market share there.
