Live Mesh mobile client updated, now works

While the Live Mesh client was released yesterday, I was not the only one who found the software non-functional. Apparently a bug was identified in the software, and a new release is now available which, presumably, works.

Try your luck by downloading the client by visiting http://m.mesh.com/install/wm6/LiveMesh.cab with your Windows Mobile smartphone.

Which version is this that you now have? I downloaded it last night and it reports version 0.9.3424.6, and the built-in software update function reports no updates available. Let me know if there is a newer and I’ll manually install. I found a number of issues with this version so far, but it did work eventually. Looking forward to when this is polished for production!

I downloaded it, but according to what some other users were saying there was a limited number of downloads for the mesh client and it is only available to US and UK phones (even if you get the cab to install it if your area is not included in the test regions it won’t log in).

@Ryan, it is a beta. Betas usually have version numbers less than 1.0.

it doesn’t work for me. I am in US, with a WM6 (standard) phone, US phone number, the cab installed. I get message when i tried to sign in “the Live mesh Mobile is only available to a limited number of people, you cannot add your mobile phone to live mesh currently”

Dam, i tried to set it up, but it says im not allowed to add mobile phones to my mesh. Otherwise the software works great for me. Anyone know if i can apply somewhere to get my phone added?

It won’t let me register my mobile phone either because their are only a limited amount allowed. I too am a US citizen and have a Windows Mobile 6.1

When did you all sign up? I’ve been signed up for this for at least 6 months and my phone worked just fine in downloading and authenticating. Just curious if newer people allowed to the test were denied.

Works well for me. I understand they had a quota, and when it was filled they did not give out any more registrations.
