Major Fail at German electronics store

Windows Phone 7 has been struggling all year against the perception that its not different from Windows Mobile. This product info card from Saturn, a German electronics retailer, paired with HTC’s latest, the HTC Radar, it not helping at all. In fact, a mistake so huge (WM 2003 !?!) almost seems like it would have to be malicious.

I guess some more retraining is needed at this retailer too.

that is malicious. I’ve seen more ‘Windows Mobile’ more times than I can count, but the 2003 is adding insult to injury.

On the other hand, if Windows Mobile 2003 looked like this back then, Microsoft would have world dominiation.

Not normal anymore €399 while in the Netherlands you pay €309 for the same device!

I’ve seen the Windows Mobile branding in other stores like Media Markt (which belongs to Saturn) as well… somehow this is funny, considering that WP7-devices sell pretty good in Germany, at least better than they do states-side.

Yeah, it’s the same in Austria. Everybody here has such a bad image of Windows Phone due to the lack of marketing here in Europe (at least in the germanophone area). In some reatailers they still have shelfs that say “Windows Mobile”.
