Microsoft finally extends carrier retail staff sales incentives to Europe

A reliable source has informed us that Microsoft is finally getting around to extending their sales incentive program to Europe.

According to our source Microsoft will be dividing each country into regions and will be allocating 4 Xbox 360’s to the best performing store in each area.

As far as we know this is the first direct incentives not given to customers, but to actual retail staff in Europe.

On top of that businesses who buy a Windows Phone will get a €100 discount on Office.

While Windows Phone 7 has seen strong take up in Europe with the introduction of the Nokia Lumia range, it is still a 1% or 1.5% OS, and hopefully this is just the start of an effort by Microsoft to move the needle  a bit higher.
