Microsoft provides route for developers to submit apps from non-Marketplace countries

yalla At present there are less than 30 countries developers can submit Windows Phone 7 apps from, leaving a lot of talent on the table.

Microsoft realizes this, and have created a new Global Publisher Program which will allow developers from all over the world to submit applications using intermediate publishers.

An example is Yalla Apps, which will accept submissions from developers for a $99 registration fee, just like Marketplace directly, and require only a PayPal account rather than credit card and bank account.

Of course other developers may want to benefit from this ease of use also, but unfortunately the service is not available for developers in countries where Marketplace has launched already.

It's still much more expensive than the direct Microsoft Marketplace registration at the end of the day. But it's probably way cheaper and better than other ways I was studying recently. I created a PayPal account 5 minutes ago. So, let's go to Yalla.

The punch of fools down at MS is unbelievable. How about a way for non market countries to buy apps?
So let me get this, I can now make apps people from my own country cant buy. LOL

I don't get how Apple, Goggle and RIM can roll out products and have market everywhere and MS cant.

I agree MS has to work faster, but launching a new platform on 60 carriers in 30 countries is not easy. Apple, Goggle and RIM took longer to setup their app stores. But MS is late to the smartphone party, so MS gets judged to a higher standard.

Well there was already a Windows Mobile marketplace, they should have been able to build on that instead of introducing a more limited MP.

Cmon, they have had XBox Live Marketplace (which requires subscriptions and purchases) in a lot of WP7 non marketplace countries before Apple and Google even lunched iOS and Android and their respective App Stores.
I don't get how the XBox Live Marketplace experience does not apply.

They probably have way too powerful legal department.

Perhaps their rich antitrust history can explain it.

You can both buy and sell iOS apps in my country, Czech Republic (Eastern Europe, EU). But it took Apple several years to get there.____You can buy, BUT NOT SELL Android apps here. In fact, you can sell them too, because the Google certification process is so loose that it's easy to trick it. In fact, only Microsoft has so strict rules, that they are practically unbreakable without a grave risk. I don't understand it, but it's much less painfull today than a day ago.
