A handset that looks like that in reality would be their #1 selling phone, hands down.

In fact, that looks an awful lot like Nokia’s concept.

Actually it looks like the Samsung device shown off at WPC conference

I’m happy to see a Mixi app and a Train app, but I wish they had been able to integrate the service into the OS like facebook. Nobody uses facebook in Japan – those 3 million or whatnot are total users, not active users. I also wish the train app was integrated into Bing, as it’s not just a “helpful app to have on phone”- it could be a major selling point of the phone, especially since the train system – especilly the Japanese one – were used in designing the OS. The other thing I fear is the “Mixi App syndrome”. There’s dozens of apps on the iPhone, but in the end it’s better to just use the browser.

Also, I hope RECRUIT (which made the Hot Pepper apps), brings their plethora of apps to the platform, as their apps for iPhone are AMAZING (little used, though, oddly) and use the Metro interface oddly better on the iPhone.

Is that phone a real phone or just some mock up? If it’s just a mock up then they should actually make it. Large screen with thin bezel with not much space at the top or bottom – yes please.

There’s almost no way in heck Microsoft would be advertising for Windows Phone on a Chinese Company’s phone in Japan. Until about a year ago, it was impossible for foreign makers to penetrate the Japanese market, and Japaanese perceptions of Chinese companies are horrible.

I’m guessing it’s just a generic phone, as Nokia also pulled out of Japan

Maybe it’s just the background image but that last train app in the video looks great.

Looks like prototypes…. But Japanese fonts really look nices on WP7.

WP7 uses typography as art, which naturally lends itself to ideogrammic languages like Japanese (Kanji), Korean, and Chinese.

Either way, would love to test out the Fujitsu handset if it ever comes to my country.
