More HTC Leo pictures, details
Some more pictures and information about the upcoming HTC Leo has popped up on XDA-Developers from an anonymous beta tester of the device.
Besides demonstrating that it is a monster of a device, especially compared to the HTC Hero, B3ler3fonte confirmed the device has pretty good battery life, despite its anorexic frame, lasting 1.5 days of heavy use, including (defined by him as as watching 1 hour video, 2 hours of music listening and 1 hour of web browsing with 3g on all the time and some texting). He also confirmed the device will be equipped with USB Host, just like the Toshiba TG01, which makes for some interesting netbook-like scenarios with a small USB keyboard. Unfortunately he was unable to confirm the presence of a digital compass. The camera records in VGA, and the auto-focus is pretty fast.
The million-dollar question of course is when the device is arriving on the market, and B3ler3fonte reveals he expects it to be on sale by the end of November or early December.
Apparently build quality is fantastic, with the battery cover being made of metal, and the other areas (arrowed) being high quality plastic.

Well it might be little big but how enjoyable it would be when you browse web, watch videos, viewing pictures and maps or using it as gps navigator. Benefits far outweigh the little bit bigger size for convinence

This has a much faster CPU than Tegra, and the GPU is not that much slower.

Numbers say tegra is capable of 40 million triangles per second, snapdragon 22, iphone 3gs 28 and PSP 33. Yeah that means even better than PSP.
As tegra is supported by nVidia which is literally the god of graphics, I'd expect it to be even better than that. On the other hand qualcomm has never supported their chips one bit !! beleive me! People died trying to make 3d drivers for MSM7200 ! lol
Then again, the main advantage for tegra is said to be really low power consumption. That's also the main reason I'm waiting for tegra

So… How many times do you want to draw 40 million triangles per second?

pretty obvious! games!!!
see PSP with its 33 MTps has got only a 480×272 screen to deal with (on par with iphone's resolution). And some games are even rendered at lower resoultions. Now here we have WVGA screens, so even 40 million isn't that much!
So with a snapdragon, the Leo certainly can't match an iphone 3GS in terms of graphics, and that hurts
besides, what I said was mainly for comparison. I have actually never played games on handheld devices…

No Videocalls and Stylus, no go for me…
Finally, a touch screen device with a screen large enough to maybe allow comfortable on screen typing for those with big hands. Sadly, it's not likely to see the light of day here…much likely on Sprint before hell freezes over.
