More HTC Leo renders, specs, rumours

AI.RS has surfaces some more pictures and specs of the HTC Leo, and the device is pretty cool. The device is expected to be 121x67x11 mm, 4.3 inch capacitive WVGA screen, 1 Ghz processor, 5 megapixel camera (no 8?) and finally a dual LED flash.

This makes the device slightly thicker than the TG01 at 129 x 70 x 9.9 mm, but slightly less tall and wide, and significantly larger than the 115 x 62.8 x 12 mm HTC Touch HD.

What on earth were they thinking when they chose such a screen size?

Is there any pocket in the earth that would take this like a man?

And the likelihood of it not taking scratches or even the glass breaking would be…

Still I'm drawn to it, due to the capactive screen and processor/graphics chip.

Have any of you guys who are complaining about the screen actually pay attention to what the article stated in regards to its OVERALL size?

It's not as tall, nor is it as wide as the TG01.

If you've seen the TG01 (or hell, for that matter the iPhone, Touch HD, TP2, etc. etc.) then you'd come to realize just how much real estate is wasted on the bezels.

If this report is to be believed, and if the renders are fairly accurate, then the Leo will hardly have any wasted surface space, as the screen will occupy most of it. Compare that to any other phone out there that has a 3.5" screen or larger, and you'll perhaps come to realize that a 4.3" screen is not THAT large when there is hardly any bezel worth noting surrounding that screen unlike most other phones.

I hate that the US gets no love in the cell phone game either but we all know it’s because the only way to release a phone on this side of the world is to give it “exclusively” to a carrier with that carrier’s special/unique/bloated software and branding…Hence a deal has to be made first, then alterations to the design of the phone, then added software…6 months later the phone comes out.

Of course! HTC is very stubborn about this. I hate how they removed this feature after their first two generations of 3G phones had all the bands! Unfortunately there isn't enough people in the U.S. who even know about HTC to make a big enough noise for them to start adding them (like 3.5mm, a worldwide effort)

Well, it's not as big as the TG01 sideways and lengthwise, though it is a bit thicker. But it is also noticeably bigger than the HD (I said noticeably, not massively). There is wasted surface area Hamidxa if the renders are accurate.

Also, How trustworthy are renders with "htc PRO.THREE" on the back of the device? I reaaaaally doubt a device without a keyboard is going to receive the "Pro" moniker.

just my opinion. And yeah, they might technically not be BRICKS as they are streamlined and not that thick. But they are leaving the realm of the phone. Some people have commented that the HD was too wide to hold comfortably in one's hand. This thing is wider. So yeah, I don't mind a big phone, but I do have my limits

front's good but the back SCREAMS fake !! the edges are jagged, the bottom part's lighting is kinda awkward and there's utter nonsense written on the back !! lol

I think this is a very nice device and this will be the replacement for my Touch HD

For me bigger display means more fun! Just think about the media qualities.
Even for the Touch HD with its 3.8 inch display there is no place to put it in my trouser pocket ( I dont know what kind of trousers u are wearing) , so it doesnt matter if this device will be larger …

Guys, Ms said WM6.5 and Wm7 will co exist. That means this baby, Leo, has too good specs to have WM6.5. I am guessing this will have Wm7. Just my guess
